All bids shall be accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bid bond, payable to the City of West Peoria, Illinois, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price, as a proposal guarantee. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the City of West Peoria with a satisfactory contract bond equal to his/her contract price and the appropriate Certificate(s) of Insurance and execute the Agreement within the time periods specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids may be held for a period of up to sixty (60) days prior to making an award. The City of West Peoria reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any formality, irregularity, or technicality in any bid if it is deemed by the City Council to be in the best interests of the City of West Peoria. All email requests should be sent to office@cityofwestpeoria.com, and the project name, company name, email address, and phone number must be specified. No bid documents will be mailed or transmitted via facsimile machine to prospective bidders.
