Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Troy, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.

1) Remove top step, west side of Courthouse at street level, construct new step 6.7' x 13" even with existing sidewalk. And, 2) Remove bad section of top step, north courthouse basement steps, and replace. If unable to replace the bad section; replace top step and sidewalk to first seam 6.6' x 2.5'. And, 3) Remove old sidewalk along east side of Doniphan County, Kansas, Courthouse, approximately 85' x 11.5', and construct new sidewalk. And, 4) Remove and replace 9.5' x 9' section of sidewalk north of courthouse at street level, east side of the street level steps, where rebar exposed. And, 5) Remove and replace 9.5' x 9.5' section of sidewalk north of courthouse at street level, east side of the street level steps adjacent to utility pole, where rebar exposed. Tie into existing wall. And, 6) Remove and replace 9.7' x 9' section of sidewalk north of courthouse at street level, west side of the street level steps at curvature in courtyard wall. And, 7) Cut back porch floor (overhang) on Doniphan County Extension Building approximately 32' x 2' and reset porch handrails. And, 8) Remove and replace five (5) steps leading to Doniphan County Extension Building porch and landing. Steps approximately 74" x 1' landing approximately 57" x 76". And, 9) Remove and replace top alcove 58" x 77" x 7" leading to Doniphan County Extension Building. And, 10) Repair, paint and reset existing handrails at Doniphan County Extension Office. SPECIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT The work shall be in accordance with the following conditions which will be made part of any contract entered into: 1. Concrete shall be at least five and one-half inches (5.5") thick and shall be reinforced with rebar which are one half inch in diameter. 2. New sidewalks shall be handicapped accessible on ends and at intersections (if applicable) 3. New sidewalks shall be constructed with colored concrete to match existing walks on the north sides of the Courthouse. 4. Construction and work shall be performed without damaging the adjoining concrete sidewalks, steps or walls. 5. The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining exact measurements for bidding purposes. 6. Accessibility to the Courthouse must be safely maintained for all Courthouse patrons throughout the construction. 7. The work zone shall be shielded from pedestrians and Courthouse patrons. 8. Any property damage or areas disturbed by the Contractor during construction will be reshaped and reseeded and/or repaired to the satisfaction of the County at the Contractor's expense. 9. Any damage to the existing wall(s) shall be repaired and restored to a condition which is equivalent to what it was at the commencement of repairs. 10. All materials and workmanship shall conform to all common standards in the trade of stone masonry. 11. Bids shall include estimated start and completion time. 12. The successful bidder shall be required to enter into a written contract with Doniphan County. 13. The successful bidder shall be required to file proof of liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. The Board of County Commissioner reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
