North East Middle school is located at 200 E Cecil Ave, North East, MD. North East High School is located at 300 Irishtown Rd, North East, MD 21901. The proposed project is for the co-locating of the two schools into one building to be located on land adjacent to the existing high school that was recently acquired by Cecil County Public Schools and incorporated into the high school property. The new school will be constructed on the western portion of the site, south of Irishtown Road. During construction, the existing high school will remain operational. The stadium was recently renovated and will remain as part of the new school. The existing building will remain in place and operational, completely separated from construction activity. All construction will take place within a fenced area. Existing pedestrian and vehicular access to the high school will be maintained. Following the completion of the construction of the new building, the existing building will be demolished and remaining sitework will be completed, utilizing existing infrastructure to the greatest extent possible. (The Demolition and Irishtown Road Improvements Bid Package(s) will be advertised at a later date and are not included in this bid as noted on the bid documents).
