Site work for a water / sewer project in North East, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Solicitation IFB-B-23-029 Provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and dredging plant necessary to perform maintenance dredging in the North East River. The work consists of hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredging to remove up to approximately 100,000 cubic yards of silty to sandy material to the authorized depth of 7 feet, plus up to 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Dredged material will be transported via pipeline to an existing upland placement site located approximately six miles from the furthest dredging location. The pipeline route will extend through the North East River, up Stony Run Creek, and across tidal and nontidal wetlands to reach the placement site. All dredging activities must be performed within the approved environmental window from October 16, 2026, through February 15, 2027. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, with an anticipated construction duration of approximately 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
