Description: FDOT District 5 Proposal ID No.: E51D7 Financial Project No.: 450228-1-52-01 Fiscal Year: 2025 County: Brevard Calendar Days: 730 This is a Maintenance Work Document driven Contract with a budget estimate of $1,100,000. The Contract will be awarded at the budget estimate amount. Intent: The work under this Contract consists of improving the traffic signalization infrastructure. This work includes, but is not limited to, vehicular signal re-spans, pedestrian signal enhancements, and other traffic signal upgrades. The intent of this Contract is to provide means for the Department to quickly respond to unexpected safety and/or operational issues for a period of two (2) years or until Contract funding has been exhausted. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the work plan, specifications, procedures, and terms of the Contract. All work in this Contract is considered specialty work. Experience: For this Contract, the Contractor is required to have at least three (3) years of experience in the performance of Traffic Signal Repair, or the Project Superintendent must have at least three (3) years of like experience as a Superintendent. A Contractor that presently has a certificate of prequalification with the Department in "Traffic Signal Installation" will suffice to meet the above requirements. Note: The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Departments estimated quantities and the Contractors bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work.
