**As of July 16 , 2025 , This project has been awarded to Smith & CO for $822,916.46.** The project scope includes parking lot additions at Oconee County High School. The project is intended to add 194 parking spaces. The project includes asphalt paving and miscellaneous concrete and utility work to support the new parking. The project also includes general site preparation and clean up. Outline scope is general in nature. Work shall be accomplished per project manual and drawings. These bonds shall be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of The Treasury Circular 570" and have an A.M. Best Company rating of at least Class "A". Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Contractor shall provide Contractors FedEx shipping number. Bidding documents will only be issued to Contractors who have been pre-qualified by the Owner for this project. Representative shall be Project Manager or Estimator directly responsible for the bidding of this project. Any bidder may be required, at the discretion of the Owner, to furnish evidence satisfactory to the Owner that his proposed subcontractors have sufficient means and experience in the types of work called for to assure completion of the contract in a satisfactory manner. All pre-qualified bidders for this project shall attend the pre-bid conference. Failure to attend shall result in disqualification of the bidder. Any bidder that is disqualified may respond to the owner in writing within 20 days of the notice of disqualification as to why the bidder feels the disqualification is unfounded. The written appeal from the disqualified bidder will not change the decision already made on this project. However, a favorable appeal may open the way for the bidder in question to bid on future oconee county schools projects. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract for any part of the work, or the job as a whole.
