As of October 31, 2025, this Project has been awarded. The Candler County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified vendors to provide, deliver, and install a 60KW, 120/208v Three Phase generator set. The project also includes the removal and proper disposal of the existing generator currently installed at the Candler County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center. The selected vendor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including equipment supply, removal of the old unit, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning. (Down time is to be scheduled and at a minimum because of the importance of the generator backing up power to the Detention Center) County will remove and dispose of the diesel in the existing generator and fill the generator back up (not the responsibility of the contractor, a 48 hour notice will be given during the work week and a 96 hour notice for the weekend). The objective of this project is to ensure the provision of a reliable backup power solution for the Candler County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center. Vendors are required to ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and local regulations. Vendors are strongly encouraged to come on site for visit before bidding the job. The vendor shall: _ Supply a new 60KW generator set, including all associated components. _ Remove and properly dispose of the existing generator set. _ Deliver the new generator to the Candler County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center. _ Perform installation, including electrical and mechanical connections, mounting, and anchoring. _ Conduct testing, commissioning, and provide training for relevant staff. _ Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
