Asbestos Abatement of Flooring at Various Schools. BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218 must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Caddo Parish School Board desires that Bidders make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date of 50 days.
