The purpose of this proposed work is to provide three new accessible transfer elevators at Downtown Crossing and Park Street Stations, and at Central Square Station, replace the existing outbound platform elevator and install 2 new elevators, while providing a more accessible, code compliant station. The MBTA through its Trade Contractor Prequalification Committee is prequalifying firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services on this CMAR Project through this RFQ process. Only prequalified firms will be permitted to submit bids for the category of work and location in which they were prequalified. All questions should be submitted to altdelivery@mbta.com 8 days before the submission deadline. Interested Trade Contractors must provide a commitment letter from a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and whose name appears on the United States Treasury Department Circular 570 for payment and performance bonds in an amount equal to one hundred and ten percent (110%) of the total estimated construction cost for each trade for the subtrade that the Trade Contractor is seeking prequalification as set forth in Part One Section I.
