Renovation of a power facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
Smiths Bros. & Wilson on behalf of the University of British Columbia invites tenders for the following Description: Design, Engineering, Supply, Delivery & Install of Two (2) Power Transformers and Associated Equipment. 64kV-12.47kV, 50/66.5/80 MVA (ONAN/ ONAF/ ONAF) Design of Anchorage to Footing, including Seismic Requirements. Oil Filling, Oil Conditioning, Start-up, Field-testing, PreCommissioning/Commissioning. Personnel Training for Transformers including all Constituent Equipment. Quality Assurance Program to Satisfy ISO 9001, or Equivalent accepted by Owner. Participation in bi-weekly Design Meetings with Project Team. Submittal of a Production Schedule, showing how the Supplier proposes to Carry out the Work. Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for all steps of the Process. Review of, and Submittal of Technical Data Sheet to suit Requirements. Adherence to Pre-Construction Schedule Dates as Provided by SBW. Minimum Twenty-Four (24) Month Warranty from date of Successful Completion of Site Acceptance Testing. Electricity to the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus is provided by two UBC-owned North (UNY) and South (UNS) substations. UNY substation distributes power to all academic and student housing facilities. UBC (Owner) intends to replace the existing T1 and T2 (each of capacity 46.7MVA, 64/12.47kV) at the UNY substation with two new (80MVA, 64/12.47kV) new power transformers. The Work under this tender shall comprise the design, manufacture, assembly, factory testing, supply & delivery to site, installation on transformer foundation including anchoring to footing, oil filling, oil conditioning, start-up, field-testing, pre-commissioning/commissioning test and personnel training for the transformers including all constituent equipment and mandatory and commissioning spares.
