The Base Bid for this project involves the installation of approximately 1,400 linear feet of 12- inch and 15-inch diameter gravity sanitary sewer, manholes, a small prepackaged pump station, a 1,200 LF 2-inch diameter force main, and related appurtenances to complete the project as designed. The Alternate Bid for this project involves the installation of approximately 2,400 liner feet of 12-inch diameter gravity sanitary sewer, manholes and appurtenances to complete the project as design. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price and lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Contact Jessica Capers to schedule a time to pick up the Bidding documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Only Bidders receiving bid documents from the Issuing Office (electronic or printed) will be allowed to submit a bid to be considered for award. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. This Contract is partially funded by Empire State Development (ESD). The ESD has established an overall goal of 30% for Minority Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) participation. All M/WBEs utilized must be in the NY State Certified MWBE directory found at online . If Contractor is unable to meet the 30% goal, Contractor is required to document "good faith efforts" to provide meaningful participation of WMBEs as subcontractors or suppliers in the performance of this Contract. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations. Security for Faithful Performance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. Sales and Use of Tax Exemptions: The GCEDC is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the GCEDC pursuant to this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the GCEDC pursuant to this contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building, or other real property forming part of the project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid. All Bids must be accompanied by the contractor's Certificate of Registration. All bids shall be binding for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. The GCEDC reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
