This project involvesthe grading, stormwater and construction of approximately 950 linear feet of new roadway to provide access to the new Edward Vacuum Facility. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price and lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. Security for Faithful Performance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. If Contractor is unable to meet the 30% goal, Contractor is required to document "good faith efforts" to provide meaningful participation of WMBEs as subcontractors or suppliers in the performance of this Contract. All Bids must be accompanied by the contractor's Certificate of Registration. All bids shall be binding for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date.
