DASNY is soliciting a bid for New York College of Technology - Pearl Building Stairs Renovation and Asbestos Abatement project. This will be a single prime general construction contract. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: Installation of new furring at walls and ceiling were applicable. Installation of new linoleum flooring and integrated rubber treads and risers at all steps and landings. Installation of new handrails and guardrails Installation of new lighting and wall mounted electric unit heaters Installation of new doors and windows were applicable Installation of new signage Painting walls and ceilings Asbestos abatement Construction base bid estimated at $3,000,000 to $3,500,000. Minority & Women Workforce Goal (for all trades) 45% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses 6% Contract term: June 30, 2026 The potential bidders are expected to represent a reliable contracting company that has completed a variety of renovation projects over the last 5 years to include demo, gypsum walls, electrical, handrails and guardrails, metal doors and frames installation and asbestos abatement. Construction duration is expected to be six months. The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York ("DASNY") has determined that its interest in obtaining the best work at the lowest possible price, preventing favoritism, fraud and corruption, and other considerations such as the impact of delay, the possibility of cost savings advantages and any local history of labor unrest are best met by use of a Project Labor Agreement ("PLA") on this Project. The successful low bidder, as a condition of being awarded this Contract, will be required to execute the PLA described in the Information for Bidders and included in the Contract Documents. See Section 18.0 of the Information for Bidders of the Contract Documents for additional information. All subcontractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA.
