The project is located at Graceland Park Cemetery, 2701 S. Lakeport Street, the Floyd River Trail from 4th Street to Outer Drive, and Kirk Hanson Park, 5015 W. 19th Street and includes asphalt overlay work at each location. There are two alternate sites for this Project: Pershing Street near Sioux Gateway Airport and the Independent Farane Cemetery, accessed through Graceland Park Cemetery. Site Directions: The project is located at Graceland Park Cemetery, 2701 S. Lakeport Street, the Floyd River Trail from 4th Street to Outer Drive, and Kirk Hanson Park, 5015 W. 19th Street. Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. This project has an early start date of June 2, 2025, and a late start date of August 4, 2025. Work shall be completed within 35 Working Days. Work on Site 2, Kirk Hanson Park, may not begin until after July 1, 2025 and shall be completed on or before September 1, 2025. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor.
