The Floyd County Board of Commissioners are seeking sealed bids for the purpose of repaving Rush Chapel Road NE in Floyd County GA. This project will be using a Rubber Modified Asphalt mix and are subject to the conditions and provisions as set forth in the attached bid package. Description - Resurface 2.67 miles of Rush Chapel Road NE with a Rubber Modified Asphalt mix. Terhune Road is 19' wide. The work is to be awarded in one contract and shall conform in all respects to the Specifications contained in this bid package which are available for review in the office of the Purchasing Director of Floyd County, which is also the office of the undersigned, and said specifications, general conditions are open to the inspection of the public. Project Scope Rush Chapel Road is in Northeastern Floyd County, and it runs from Calhoun Road to State Route 140. Asphalt mix can be Smart Mix (Details in the attached Technical Brief), or a similar mix with a minimum dosage of 0.6% by weight of the mix. Floyd County will be responsible for all prep work. o The Contractor is to provide all materials, as specified in the Scope, and labor/equipment required to complete the resurfacing project. o The contractor will be responsible for traffic control. o Bid price shall be per ton, with an estimated 2,455 tons, using 165 pounds/sq. yard. That price shall include plant modifications to introduce the tire derived product per the specifications. o Please quote mobilization and traffic control separately. o Floyd County will be responsible for replacing the center and edge line striping. o Payment will be made at the contract unit price for the actual number of units of work completed, as measured in accordance with the specifications.
