Site work for a water / sewer project in Novato, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction of the project known as San Mateo Transmission Main according to drawings and specifications as prepared by the North Marin Water District and according to the Contract Documents. The Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. 1,500 LF of HDPE Transmission Main 2. 800 LF Roadway Decommissioning 3. Installation of Temporary Access improvements including culverts for swale crossings 4. Removal of Temporary Access Improvements and Restoration. 5. Clearing and Grading, Including Trimming and Removal of Trees 6. Excavation of Hard Rock 7. 3,000 LF Furnish and Install 2" Conduit 8. Furnish and Install New Flex Tend Force-Balanced Expansion Joint Assembly 9. Furnish and Install two (2) precast vaults and steel fabricated spool with manway 10. 70 LF Furnish and Install Chain Link Fencing 11. Site Drainage The Contractor shall start the Work within ten (10) working days after the date of the Notice to Proceed, however work may begin no sooner than August 1, 2025 and the Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of this project no later than close of business on October 15, 2025, based on a Notice of Award issued no later than June 6, 2025 and a Notice to Proceed issued no later than July 18, 2025. If the District delays either notice, the date of Substantial Completion will be adjusted. Bidding procedures are prescribed in the Contract Documents. Bids shall be executed upon the separately stapled bid forms provided, which are provided for convenience in submitting bids and are not a part of said Contract Documents. If there are any discrepancies between the stapled bid forms and the Contract Documents, the Contract Documents shall take precedence. Bid guarantee, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount and conforming to the prescribed bidding procedures, is required to be submitted with each bid as a guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to enter into the same, or fail to furnish in a timely manner, the bonds and/or proof of insurance. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the following: Payment Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price; Faithful Performance Bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price; and evidences of insurance in full compliance with requirements set forth in Paragraph 00820-2.0, INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS. Each bidder shall submit with its bid a statement setting forth its experience on the forms included in the Bid Proposal. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. If the Contract is awarded, the District will give the successful Bidder a Notice of Award within sixty (60) calendar days of the opening bids. The successful Bidder shall execute the Contract, furnish required bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) working days after the date of the Notice of Award. The District may withhold issuance of the Notice to Proceed for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days after the date the Contract Agreement is executed. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of the District; and waive any irregularities in the bids.
