Northampton County is seeking the services of a firm specializing in the design and installation of fall-protection systems. The County owned Gracedale Nursing Home, located at 2 Gracedale Avenue in Nazareth, PA, includes a ten story tower that lacks a fall protection system meeting current OSHA and ANSI regulations. The County is looking to install a roof anchor fall protection system that would meet current OSHA and ANSI regulations, and allow for exterior maintenance and cleaning of the tower when needed. The County will no longer accept mailed or hand delivered submissions. No verbal responses by any County personnel will have any bearing on the request-for-proposals nor be incorporated into any subsequent award. Selected consultant shall be responsible for the following: 1. Design Phase a. Review all available as-built architectural and structural drawings. b. Conduct an engineering site visit to verify existing conditions of the roof deck and obtain sitespecific field measurements. c. Develop a proposed OSHA and ANSI compliant fall protection system including drawings stamped by a professional engineer, licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. 2. Construction Phase a. Provide County with an installation schedule to allow for coordination with work by other contractors. b. Furnish and install fall protection as indicated in the approved engineered drawings 3. Project Closeout a. Installer shall provide the County with a Certificate for Use, indicating the system meets all applicable codes, manufacturer's specifications, pull testing requirements, and has been installed per the approved project documents. b. Provide County with an operation and maintenance manual. c. Provide warranty documentation. Fall protection anchorages shall be warrantied for a period of five years. d. Conduct authorized user training to the owner's representatives.
