The project will be bid and constructed in two (2) separate Divisions, and generally consists of the following: Division 1 - East Market Street Area: Approximately 1,900 LF of 6-inch waterline, 2,150 LF of 2-inch waterline, three (3) fire hydrants, 50 service reconnections, water system connections, water main abandonment, pavement replacement, traffic control, and all other items required for a complete and proper installation. Division 2 - Wellington Mill Area: Approximately 3,200 LF of 6-inch waterline, 11,365 LF of 2-inch waterline, five (5) fire hydrants, 125 service reconnections, water system connections, water main abandonment, pavement replacement, traffic control, and all other items required for a complete and proper installation. Questions regarding the bid are to be submitted before 5:00 PM local time on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025. Div 1 - E. Market St Area: Approximately 1,900 LF of 6-in waterline & 2,150 LF of 2-in waterline. Div 2 - Wellington Mill Area: Approximately 3,200 LF of 6-in waterline & 11,365 LF of 2-in waterline. Div 1 - Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete the project within two hundred and ten (210) consecutive calendar days thereafter as stipulated in the specifications. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in Paragraph 19 of the General Conditions. Div 2 - Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete the project within three hundred (300) consecutive calendar days thereafter as stipulated in the specifications. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in Paragraph 19 of the General Conditions.
