Renovation of a mixed-use development in Marshall, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

McDonald Roofing: MOHS $2,722,406.17 for labor and materials paid for from Sec 351 Infrastructure Improvement Grant (to be used for buildings in Albion) 4,7,11 are the coating areas and can be completed in June, July. The remaining sections can be completed throughout the Fall and early Winter months. Modern Roofing: Hughes $471,532.35 for labor and materials paid for from Sinking Fund (not the lowest bidder, but had a better completion schedule) Comp. Start Hughes August 1st 2025 with completion approximately September 15th 2025 Cost estimate is over $3,000,000. Marshall Public Schools is seeking proposals for a contractor to repair and install the roofs at Marshall Opportunity High School (MOHS) and Hughes Elementary School (HES) per specifications. The district is utilizing OMNIA purchasing cooperative to procure the materials. Specifications are to be considered as minimums, and the general conditions, as listed, must be adhered to . Marshall Public Schools Board of Education will approve a contractor the week of May 5, 2025. Questions regarding the specifics of the bid should be directed via E-Mail through electronically. A Bid Security by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany each proposal. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Bid may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Successful Bidders may be required to furnish Surety Bonds as stated in the Project Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bid proposals, which they feel to be in their own best interest. Contractor to recover the roof at HES. The total square footage of the recover is 22,265. This project would follow non-prevailing wage labor costs. Contractor to have knowledge and experience installing Tremco roofing materials. Contractor to recover, restore and replace sections of the roof at MOHS. Replacement square footage is 53,082. Recover square footage is 57,899. Restore square footage is 26,045. See the overhead map for details. Green is restore, orange is recover and red is replace. This project would follow prevailing wage labor costs. Contractor to have knowledge and experience with Tremco roofing materials.
