The CCLBA and Treasurer are looking for mowing, lawn care and maintenance services. Most of the properties will be foreclosed, vacant, and/or abandoned, and are generally distressed. Some sites will include structures. The goal of this RFP, and the responsibility of the successful Respondent, is to provide lawn care services for properties held by the CCLBA and Treasurer. Sites are located across the county, with primary concentrations in Battle Creek and Albion. Services may include mowing, lawn care, and maintenance services, which could include the removal of trash, brush, and leaves through the end of the mowing season. Definitions below clarify the requests and reflect the pricing units in this RFP. Inventories may change throughout the year due to purchase, sales, and or other factors. Tentative Award Date: April 1, 2025 This contract will be for a period of three (3) years 2025 - 2027. The contract will include the option for two, oneyear extensions (2028 and 2029), if mutually agreed upon by the CCLBA and/or Treasurer and the Respondent. All contracts made by the successful bidder with subcontractors shall be covered by the terms and conditions of the contract. The successful bidder shall see to it that their subcontractors are fully informed in regard to these terms and conditions. The CCLBA and Treasurer reserve the right to select the Respondent that best meets their goals and objectives, quality levels, as well as their service level expectations. The CCLBA and Treasurer reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to reject any/or all proposals, to waive any irregularities and technical defects contained therein, to award the contract in its entirety, in part, or not at all and/or to determine which proposal is the lowest and/or best to enter into a Contract, as deemed to be in the best interest of the CCLBA and Treasurer.
