Description: The Project includes the following Work: The Village of Belleville is completing roadway improvements along STH 69 for a new intersection with Tyler Street. Work includes storm sewer installation, pedestrian path installation, and turning lane improvements, concrete curb and gutter, signing and pavement marking. Work is being included for a subdivision currently under construction. Additional work for the extension of Bell West Boulevard is included within the overall scope of this project. Work along Bell West Boulevard includes the topsoil stripping, roadway base construction, installation of concrete sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, sanitary sewer, and water laterals. Work is included for the project to add pavement patches along STH 69 at the northerly end of the Village. The pavement patches will be extensions to the paved shoulders along the STH. The pavement patches will include the base preparation and paving around existing water valves to protect them from maintenance along the STH 69. The anticipated substantial completion date is October 10, 2025 and final completion date is October 24, 2025. Additional Description: No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
