Closing Time: 2:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/04/24 12:00:00 AM NDT Provide all labour, material, plant, equipment, superintendence, temporary facilities, permits, and administration to perform the work outlined below and described in greater detail in the specifications and drawings attached hereto and forming part of the documents for this project. Project Description 1 Work on this project includes, but is not limited to, kitchen renovations at 66 Sandbanks Road, Nain, NL. Outline of Work The following outline is general and is not to be considered complete in every detail. Before submitting a Tender, bidders shall carefully examine the Contract Documents and the site of the proposed work to fully inform themselves of the existing conditions and limitations. No claim shall be entertained or allowed for any labor, materials, or other extras that may be required for the proper execution and completion of the contract, which would have been determined by site examination. Demolition 1 Removal of all materials and components as listed in the scope of work. All materials not being reinstated are to be removed from site and disposed of at an approved disposal area. 2 Removal includes, but is not limited to: kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertop, kitchen sink, range hood, electrical receptacles, wiring, plumbing components, drywall, flooring. 3 Contractor is responsible to reinstate all areas disturbed by demolition and construction. Kitchen 1 Design and install new kitchen cabinets per specifications. New kitchen cabinets to be installed to ceiling height. 2 New kitchen cabinets to have quiet close doors. Cabinet color to be confirmed by Owner. .3 Install new countertop per specifications. Color to be selected by Owner. Painting 1 Repair all areas effected by demolition and construction. Plaster, prime, and paint entire walls and ceiling with two coats to match existing finish. Plumbing 1 New two-compartment kitchen sink to be installed complete with new shut-off valves, flexible supply lines, faucet, knobs, and all associated components. Plumbing to be connected to existing infrastructure. 2 New kitchen sink to be stainless steel double bowl per specifications. 3 New faucet to be two handle and top mounted per specifications. NLHC is required by the Public Procurement Regulations under the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Procurement Act to apply a ten percent (10%) reduction to the pricing submitted by provincial suppliers for the purposes of evaluating pricing. This reduction will only be applied when the evaluation includes submissions from non-provincial suppliers. Commercial General Liability Insurance: Without restricting the generality of Section 5 - Indemnity hereof, the Contractor shall maintain, at its expense, Commercial General Liability Insurance acceptable to NLHC to protect NLHC against all liabilities or damages in respect of injuries to persons (including injuries resulting in death) in the minimum amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) with respect to the operations of the Contractor and/or its Sub-Contractors and in respect of damages to property arising out of performance of the Work. This insurance shall include NLHC and the occupant of the property as Additional Insureds. The Contractor shall not commence any work until a Certificate of Insurance, obtained at the Contractor's expense, has been received and approved by NLHC as specified herein.
