** As of 05/22/2025 project has been awarded to Crossroad Paving with an awarded amount of $380,588.25.** COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT YEAR 50 (2024-2025) ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT The major items of work shall consist of approximately 13,379 sy milling (less than 3"), 1,625 tons hot mix asphalt surface course, 868 lf vertical concrete curb, 843 lf of combination concrete curb and gutter, 425 sy 4-inch concrete sidewalk, 220 sy 6-inch concrete sidewalk and aprons, 36 sy detectable warning surfaces for handicap accessible ramps, 6 manhole casting/cover removal/replacements, 16 reconstruction of catch basins, 13 catch basin head replacements and 1200 lf of 4-inch thermoplastic traffic striping. The work shall be performed at the following locations: Essex Avenue from Cranford Avenue to Garfield Street, Grasselli Avenue from Buchanan Street to Main Street, Monroe Street from Grasselli Avenue to Parkway Avenue and West 16th Street from South Wood Avenue to South Stiles Street Bids must be submitted individually in a sealed envelope clearly marked per the contract listed above bearing the name and address of the Bidder on the outside; addressed to the Purchasing Agent, City of Linden, City Hall, 301 N. Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036; and be accompanied by a BID BOND or CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to the City of Linden, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid to secure performance. ALL BIDDERS shall conform to the intention and provisions of Affirmative Action in Public Contracts Laws of State of New Jersey R.S. 10:2-1 of 7/23/75, Assembly Bill No. 2227. BIDDERS are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
