UNION STREET MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT The major items of work shall consist of approximately 50 cy excavation, 730 sy HMA milling (3" or less), 605 sy 6-inch DGA base course, 230 tons HMA 19M64 base course, 230 tons HMA 9.5M64 surface course, 160 lf 15-inch reinforced concrete class iv storm pipe, 2 type B inlets with bicycle safe grates and curb pieces, 65 sy 6-inch concrete sidewalk and apron, 20 sy 4-inch concrete sidewalk, 675 lf 9"x18" concrete vertical curb, 80 lf ground mounted barrier curb, 4 traffic control signs, 775 lf 4-inch traffic stripes, 25 lf 24-inch traffic marking lines, 235 sy 4- inch topsoil, 235 sy fertilizing, seeding and straw mulching, and 1 LED light fixture, pole and footing. . The work shall be performed at 1132 Union Street Bids must be submitted individually in a sealed envelope clearly marked per the contract listed above bearing the name and address of the Bidder on the outside; addressed to the Purchasing Agent, City of Linden, City Hall, 301 N. Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036; and be accompanied by a BID BOND or CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to the City of Linden, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid to secure performance. ALL BIDDERS shall conform to the intention and provisions of Affirmative Action in Public Contracts Laws of State of New Jersey R.S. 10:2-1 of 7/23/75, Assembly Bill No. 2227. BIDDERS are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it be in the interest of the City to do so.
