Renovation of an educational facility in Linden, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,050-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.

A. The purpose of the project is the boiler replacement at Linden High School. B. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contract associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. Last day to submit RFIs to be answered is Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at 3:00pm. This project consists of a Boiler Replacement at Linden High School Document info : to all submitting bids. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the Specifications to be enclosed in sealed opaque envelopes bearing the name of the project: "Linden Public School District - Boiler Replacement at Linden High School", and the name and address of the bidder on the outside of the envelope, addressed to: "John Serapiglia, Business Administrator, Linden Public School District". The school district is not responsible for bids opened prior to the bid opening if bid name and opening date do not appear on the envelope. Bids opened prior to the due date and time indicated are invalid. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or in the handling of the mail by employees of Linden Public School District, as well as of improper hand delivery. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the "Linden Public School District", in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening. Last day to submit RFI's to be answered is Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at 3:00pm. Addenda, if needed, will be issued on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. It is the Board's intention to award the contract to the lowest qualified bidder in compliance with the specifications providing the required security who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interests of the School District. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to the maximum extent of its lawful discretion. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. The Owner assumes no responsibility whatsoever in connection with any defects arising out of the issuance of the Contract Documents or the receipt or failure to receive Bids, including those which may arise from delay for any reason in obtaining or submitting the Bid, including but not limited to traffic delay, messengering, mis-labeling, mis-directions from any source, mis-delivery or otherwise. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, if it is in the best interest of the Owner. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner.
