Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a road / highway in New Haven, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Any bids received after the designated time shall not be considered and returned unopened. The Scope of Work shall consist of constructing a new 10' wide asphalt trail on the west side of Minnich Rd from Lincoln Highway to SR 930, and on the east side of Minnich Rd from SR 930 to 800' south of SR 930 including new decorative streetlights. The City of New Haven, Indiana, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, issued pursuant to such Acts, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of religion, race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability/handicap and income in consideration for an award. Bid proposals shall be completed and properly executed on the bid form and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation that copies of Addenda were received (if issued), and satisfactory bid security. All addenda shall be issued by Monday, April 28, 2025, by 12:00pm. A certified or cashier's check payable to the City of New Haven, or a bid bond in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. All checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned upon selection of successful bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount. In determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, the City of New Haven Board of Public Works and Safety will consider the Total Base Bid made for the contract. The City of New Haven may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents such as experience and subcontractors. The City of New Haven Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding and to award contracts in the best interest of the City of New Haven. The City of New Haven Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to increase or reduce project scope to meet any budget limitations if any were to arise. The Work shall be substantially completed by September 12, 2025, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions by October 10, 2025.
