Site work for a civil project in Norfolk, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
construction of two concrete box culverts, roadway grading and other related incidental work. The project sites are located as follows: C-59(335) on 845 Road between 552 Avenue and 553 Avenue; C-59(847) on 837 Road between 536 Avenue and 537 Avenue, both in Madison County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "Madison County 2025 CBCs: C-59(335) & C-59(847)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for the construction of: C-59(335) quad 12' x 6' x 49' Concrete Box Culvert on a 0degree skew; and C-59(847) twin 14' x 14' x 50' Concrete Box Culvert on a 10-degree skew (rhb), and other related incidental work. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Madison County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated time of completion for each project with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for all sites is December 1, 2025. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed sixty-five (65) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at that site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion dates for each site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Madison County Board of Commissioners. The Madison County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114.
