Renovation of a mixed-use development in Somerville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; municipal facility; and parking garage.

We value the integrity of the procurement process, and in full transparency, the bid opening will be conducted via Live-Stream from the County Commissioners Meeting room. You can access the Live-Stream from the County's homepage at the prevailing date and time stated in this Notice to Bidders. During the bid opening process, the bidders will be announced as well as bid amounts. Also, the bid tabulation will be posted, as always, to the Purchasing webpage once available. SCOPE OF WORK A. Repair work shall include, but not be limited to: doors, buttons, electric strike, power activated panic bars, tracks, drives, hardware, sensors, closers, low voltage wiring, photo eyes, motorized operators, door jambs and related parts. Repair service shall be performed at an hourly labor rate as submitted on the bid proposal page. The Contractor must be able to repair all sizes and types of automatic doors listed in this Bid. To the extent that individual projects include an electronic or commercial operator, the Contractor shall install the operator, control wiring and all associated equipment. The County will be responsible for providing electric service to the operator location. This work shall be completed after the Contractor provides location and technical specification to the County and prior to installation of the door. Automatic Doors sizes range from 8 to 9 feet high and up to 8 feet wide. B. The Contractor is required to furnish all required supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, storage, permits, (if required) and all necessary related items for a full and complete service in accordance with industry standards. The County shall not be responsible for any loss of such tools, materials or equipment. C. All repair estimates (job quote) shall be provided, at no charge, to Facilities and Services representative in writing. The job quote shall be divided into parts, labor, overtime, etc. exactly as awarded in the contract. The Contractor shall utilize the door manufacturer’s original equipment whenever possible. All rates shall be in strict accordance with the original contract pricing. No work shall be done without the approval of the Facilities and Services representative.
