(3) - MP/MP Bridge Replacement (Design B-1 Level A, H-1 Level A, E-3 Level A) Location(s) Monmouth, New Jersey Somerset, New Jersey Sussex, New Jersey The purpose of the project is to address the structurally deficient condition of the Rt 202/206 Peters Brook Bridge (Structure 1808-159). The bridge is listed on the NJDOT Bridge Management System (BMS) with a Highest Priority Ranking and Sufficiency Rating of 66.2 (2016). The Cycle #5 Bridge Re-Evaluation Survey Report states that this structure has been found to be in overall poor condition due to the condition of the substructure. Superstructure is in fair condition due to heavy scaling along the base of the arch and spalling at the construction joint between the original and widening section. The substructure is in poor condition due to the severe scaling of the floor slab with exposed and displaced reinforcement bars. Channel is in fair condition due to severe erosion of the downstream channel, which has exposed and undermined sewer pipe.
