If plastic is used a tracer wire is required to be installed with the service line and secured tightly to it The tracer wire must be a minimum 16 gauge solid core wire (not stranded) The tracer wire also needs to be installed from the inside top of curb box down along service line and stub off at the wall. It is also accepted to stub Tracer wire out of ground at wall where service enters the premise. Tracer wire must be visible at time ofinspection. If a backflow device or PRV is required, all devices must be installed after the meter. One curb box with a shut-off valve is required per living unit (For example: A two unit condo complex must have two separate shutoff valves outside) During and after curb box installation make sure shut-off valve remains in Center of Box A curbbox centering device must be installed with the curbbox and is specified on the Standards list Curbbox must be of all metal construction, no plastic.
