The City of Granbury is accepting Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Sewer Line Improvements Any Bids received after the closing date and hour will not be accepted and will not be returned. Question Submission Deadline:April 18, 2025, 10:00am This project consists of replacing 441' of 8" clay tile sewer main with 12" SDR26 pipe in Ewell Street between N. Crocket Street and N. Brazos Street using open trench methods. As part of this project 6 new sewer taps will be installed to serve the Granbury Station Townhome development and the 4" schedule 40 services will be extended to the property line and capped for future connection. A new tap and service line will also be installed to replace the existing sewer service for the Post Office to the edge of the street. The new main will be installed to match the existing invert flow lines of the existing manholes and will maintain a uniform and proper grade. Either by-pass pumping or a flow through method must be used to maintain service and flow for the main and Post Office service during the replacement process. This is to prevent Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO's) as well as unnecessary service interruptions. Bedding and backfill must follow City of Granbury Standard Specifications. Proper plating or temporary paving patches must be used until the final paving of the street is completed under the current FIA agreement and plans. Testing and Inspections will be required and performed per City of Granbury procedures and Standard Specifications. Scope of Work: the work covered by these contract documents specifications and details consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, traffic control, and safety devices required for street construction. The work shall include the excavation and replacement of the existing pavement and subgrade with a new asphalt or concrete pavement section as indicated on the drawings as well as all other miscellaneous items of construction, to be performed as outlined in these documents and the standard specifications, which are necessary to satisfactorily complete the work. A contract shall be awarded with final payment being based on actual measured quantities and the unit price proposal in this proposal. The Contractor shall not hold the City responsible for delay in the issuance of a work order for this contract.
