Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid shall be required for public improvement contracts where the amount of the contract exceeds $100,000. The bid security shall be forfeited if the bidder fails to execute the contract promptly and properly if awarded. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check equivalent to 10% of the proposal payable to the City of Medford, to guarantee that if a bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured. A Bid Bond to like effect and amount with a corporate surety will be acceptable for this project. A bid may be withdrawn at any time before the bid deadline, by providing a written request for the withdrawal of the bid to the issuing office. A duly authorized representative of the firm shall execute the request. Withdrawal of a bid will not prejudice the right of the proposer to file a new bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements and may reject, for good cause, any and all bids upon the finding that it is in the public interest to do so. The City reserves the right to waive any and all informalities if it is deemed in the best interest of the public.
