The Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA), a local public agency exercising joint powers, is seeking bids from a licensed contractor for structural debris removal services relative to impacts from the 2025 Straight Line Windstorms and Wildfires. There are multiple locations covered in this solicitation, including Temescal Gateway Park Retreat and Conference Center and five separate coastal access points. Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of cabin and storage buildings remains, destroyed equipment yards, burned storage units, damaged staircases, and structural foundations. The work also includes the removal of adjacent debris to the buildings including, but not limited to, HVAC units, wood or steel fencing, signage, and other park related amenities. This is a public works project as defined in the Labor Code 1/2 1720 and must be performed in accordance with the requirements of the California Labor Code. All services must meet and comply with local and state laws and regulations. The Contractor shall hold a Class A or Class B license with Hazardous Substance Removal Certification (HAZ) or the specific combination of C21, C12 with a HAZ certificate contractor's license issued by the State of California. All bidders must preregister for the mandatory bidder's conference to qualify for submission. All questions must be submitted to the email below by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Clarifications will be provided in writing by April 25, 2025.
