Site work and renovation of a civil project in Great Bend, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Constructing one (1) new KDHE approved public water supply well, including 24-inch diameter bore hole, 12-inch casing and screen approximately 41 feet in depth, and submersible pump with pitiless unit; meter vault; fiberglass chlorination building and gas chlorination system; electrical work; test hole; and plugging and abandonment of existing irrigation well and test wells. Water line work including approximately 7,100 LF of 6" C900 PVC; 500 LF of 3" CL250 PVC; 1 fire hydrant; 1 flush hydrant; 7 gates valves; road bores; test stations; seeding; silt fence; traffic control; and appurtenances. Water well geologist services provided by Owner. The Work shall be complete and ready for final payment in accordance within 120 calendar days after the date of Contract Time commencement. This project is funded by the Kansas Public Water Supply Revolving Loan Fund through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Water Project Grant Fund through the Kansas Water Office (KWO). Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the presidents Executive Order 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. All contracts and subcontracts exceeding $100,000 at any tier under a SRF Loan Agreement shall comply with the Anti-Lobbying Act, Section 319 of Public Law 101-121, and file an Anti-Lobbying Certification form, and the Disclosure of Lobbying Activities form, if required, to the next tier above. Bidders on this work, including sub-contractors or vendors, will be required to comply with the Kansas Act Against Discrimination (K.S.A. 44-1001 et. seq.) and the Kansas Age Discrimination in Employment Act (K.S.A. 44-1111 et. seq.)". Conditions of employment to be observed and minimum rates to be paid under the contract (Davis Bacon Act), Section 3 of 1968 Housing & Urban Development Act. Bidders attention is directed to the Davis-Bacon Labor Standards Contractor's Guide to Prevailing Wage Requirements for Federally-Assisted Construction Projects located at online. All of the iron and steel products used in the project must be produced in the United States. The term ''iron and steel products'' means the following products made primarily of iron or steel - lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. A Certification form must be submitted with the bid documents. The prevailing wage rates of the State of Kansas apply to this contract as do any requirements of the State of Kansas associated with the use of these State Prevailing wages. The prevailing wage rates of the Department of Labor apply to this project. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Doc note: Addenda, if any and online list will also be available through the EBH website online. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer's office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60-days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
