Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Great Bend, Kansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,000-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.

The project is for the construction of a 50'x80' building at the Great Bend Fire Department Station 2 located at 5851 10th Street, Great Bend, KS. The building specifications include 50' wide by 80' long by 16' high (inside), with 50' pre-engineered wood trusses at 4/12 pitch, 1' overhang with boxed/vented soffit, and post hole specifications per engineered plans. Siding and roof will be charcoal gray 26-gauge metal panels with 2" vinyl-backed insulation and red 26-gauge metal trim. The building will have approximately 160 feet of gutter and downspouts. Door and window details include four 12x14 white overhead doors on the left of the main building, two 3-0 9 lite white entry doors (one left-hand in-swing, one right-hand in-swing), insulated commercial doors with electric openers, and one remote per door. Interior specifications include brilliant white liner panels for walls and ceiling, 6" batt insulation on the walls (R30), blow-in insulation in the ceiling (R38), and a 6" thick inside concrete floor, cut and power trowel finish with 4000 psi mix and 1/2 " rebar 24" on center in both directions placed on chairs. A second/separate bid is requested for approximately 2,500 sq ft (30'x80') of 6" thick, 4,000 psi concrete with 1/2 " rebar 24" on center both ways, cut and light broom finished, for building approach/driveway. The driveway must be sloped away from the building, match up to the current driveway, and allow for appropriate drainage. Some dirt work may be required. Engineered plans are required with the submission. Performance and payment bond are required per policy. All materials must match as closely as possible the existing building at 5851 10th St, Great Bend. Sealed bids must be delivered as specified. Bidders must comply with all requirements and provide all specified components and add-ons.
