As of January 22, 2026 the project has been awarded. The work includes providing services at the public golf course, specifically addressing cart paths, leveling out the driving range, fairway redesign, pond work, demolition of the main clubhouse, greens, tees, bunkers, possible seeding, and possible parking lot and road work. All descriptions required for the project are included in the attached course of work. Instructions to bidders include: proposals must be received by the specified deadline, be typewritten or written in ink, and include all required submittals and information. Each bidder must include copies of warranties, meet Equal Opportunity Employer requirements, and be licensed in the City of Great Bend. Bids must specify delivery terms, should not include Kansas sales tax, and state any prepayment or discount options. Bidders are responsible for their own costs in preparing and submitting bids. The Great Bend Recreation Commission reserves the right to adjust quantities as needed. Bids may be withdrawn before opening, but once submitted, must remain open for thirty days. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, disregard nonconforming bids, or accept the proposal deemed in its best interest. Award is not solely based on price, but also on the bidder's ability to perform the job as described, including vision for the project, timeline, and budget. Within ten days of award notification, the successful bidder must enter into a contract including standard purchase terms and conditions.
