Generally includes: 4,025 square yards of 2 asphalt mill & overlay, 800 square yards of spot pavement repairs, and pavement markings. Bids must be submitted on City of Wimberley bid forms and must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security in the form of a cashiers check or bid bond, payable to the City of Wimberley, Texas, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. Any interested firm may in writing request clarification from Ryan Bell, P.E., no later than 5 p.m. on Friday April 18, 2025. The interested firm shall email a copy of the written clarification request to Ryan Bell, at rbell@gilpinengineering.com and Written requests from interested firms and written responses by the City will be provided to all Applicants. Bidder agrees to commence Work under this Contract on a date to be specified in written Notice to Proceed of the OWNER and to reach Substantial Completion of the Work within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days thereafter. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any nonconforming Bid and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding 60 days from the Bid opening date. Bids shall remain firm for that period.
