Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond,Certified Check or Bank Draft in an amount equal to and not less than ten percent(10%) of the bid and made payable to Schiller Park Public Library. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Owner. Checks or drafts of unsuccessful Bidders will be returned as soon as practical, after opening and checking the bids. Successful Bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract, acceptable to the Owner. The Qualification Documents will be reviewed by the Owner and Architect to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The Project consists of mechanical control upgrades, asbestos abatement in multiple small areas, drywall patching, partial removal and replacement of ceilings systems on the library's main and lower levels with electrical work that accompanies the mechanical control scope. The project is for the Schiller Park Public Library, hereafter called the Owner, and is to be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Studio GC, dated April 10, 2025. B. Scope: The Work includes the work of all trades required; and all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary and incidental to the construction and completion of the Work. C. Work to be executed under one General Contract, including all trades. Tentative Date of Board Approval of Bids: July 24, 2025 B. Commencement of Work: September 15, 2025 1. Contractor has option to commence work on site on August 18, 2025. C Substantial Completion: November 10, 2025 1. Substantial Completion would be October 13, 2025 if Contactor begins on August 18, 2025. D Final Completion: December 1, 2025 1 Final Completion would be November 3, 2025 if Contactor begins on August 18, 2025.
