Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Simi Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project FY2024- 25 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program (SB1) (Project) which include, but are not limited to: 1) 975,116 S.F. of asphalt pavement cold milling; 2) 9,500 tons of asphalt placement; 3) 5,125 S.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of sidewalk; 4) 56 sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of curb ramps; 5) 220 S.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of concrete cross and/or longitudinal gutter; 6) 2,355 L.F. of concrete sidewalk grinding per ADA requirements; 7) 79 L.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of concrete curb and gutter; 8) 78 sewer manhole adjustment & replacement; 9) 132 water valve adjustment and replacement of valve stacks; 10) various traffic signing and pavement delineation; 11) 18 sewer cleanout adjustment; 12) 14 Ventura County survey monument adjustment; and 13) all appurtenant work as provided in the Proposed Schedule of Work and Prices. The expected completion time of the Project is 60 consecutive working days when the City issues a Notice to Proceed. The Bid shall be submitted and the work shall be performed by a State of California Class A licensed contractor in strict conformance and now on file in the City's Department of Public Works and the Office of the City Clerk. The terms and conditions for bidding on the Project are described in the attached Bidding Instructions. This Project requires payment of State prevailing rates of wages for Ventura County. The contractor must post copies of the prevailing schedule at each job site. Copies of these rates of wages are available from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Prevailing Wage Unit, Telephone No. (415) 703-4774. Pursuant to Public Contracts Code ("PCC") 22300, the Contractor may substitute securities for retention monies held by the City or request that the City place such monies into an escrow account. The Contractor is notified, pursuant to PCC 22300, any such election will be at the Contractor own expense and will include costs incurred by the City to accommodate the Contractor's request. Five percent (5%) will be deducted from each progress payment and retained by the City. The remainder less the amount of all previous payments will be paid to the Contractor. Doc note: Work on the Project must be performed in strict conformity with Specification No. SV 25-23 as adopted by the City's City Manager on April 14, 2025 which is filed with the City's Public Works Department.
