Site work and renovation of a civil project in Lumberton, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
generally described as construction of a new 6.0 MGD ADF enhanced biological removal wastewater treatment which will consist of the construction of two (2) oxidation ditch type aeration units rated for 3.0 MGD each, an elevated influentsplitter box, two (2) 130-ftrapid sludge removal clarifiers, a RAS/WAS/Scum liftstation, tertiary filters, chlorine contact chamber, flowmeasurement, discharge outfall, aerobic digestor, sludge dewatering system, secondary electrical building, chemical building, chemical feed systems, nonpotable watersystem, electrical and controls, and two (2)standby generators. This project will also provide for the expansion of the primary electrical building, modifications to the existing headworks structure, influent junction box, and primary electrical building. Additive alternative itemssuch as grit removal, alum dosing for enhanced phosphorusremoval, demolition, and miscellaneousimprovements are also included. The right is reserved by the LMUD, as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality not involving price, time, or changes in the work in the bids received. Question Deadline 06/05/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the LMUD; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do businessin Texas, in the amount of not lessthan five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it issubmitted. Bids must be submitted in duplicate. Bids may not be submitted electronically. Bids may be held by the LMUD for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements of federal law, including federal appropriation acts and/or Section 608 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. Contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids is expected to be funded in part by financial assistance from the TWDB. Neither the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or the State of Texas, nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are or will be party to this bid.
