Habersham County School District is requesting quotes for Interior Painting of Common Areas and Hallways at Level Grove Elementary, 2525 Level Grove Road, Cornelia, GA 30531 The Habersham County Board of Education (HCBOE), (Owner) is requesting quotes from qualified contractors for the interior painting of all common areas and hallways. Interested parties may attend the pre-bid site visit on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 3:30 pm, Level Grove Elementary School, 2525 Level Grove Rd, Cornelia GA 30531. All respondents to this RFQ are subject to the instructions communicated in this document and are cautioned to review the entire RFQ and follow instructions carefully and completely. The Owner reserves the right to reject any proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities at their discretion. Project Schedule The selection is anticipated to be finalized on May 19, 2025. Work described may begin as early as May 29, 2025, with a completion date of Tuesday, July 15, 2025. A. Areas to be painted: All interior walls throughout the entirety of the school to be painted with the exception of the Classrooms, Gymnasium and Kitchen. All hollow metal doors and door frames, interior and exterior, to be painted with the exception of interior classroom and kitchen doors. B. Surface Preparation: All surfaces must be properly cleaned, caulked, sanded, patched, and primed. All metal surfaces must be sanded and primed as needed to achieve a smooth surface. All doors must open and close easily with no resistance or restriction after being painted._ C. Paint Type and Finish Concrete Masonry Units: Eggshell Enamel Finish: 2 coats_ First and Second Finish Coat: Interior, Eggshell, Pre-Catalyzed Waterborne Epoxy S-W: Pro Industrial Pre-Catalyzed Water-Based Epoxy Eg-Shel, K45 Series Hollow Metal Doors and Door Frames: High Gloss Alkyd Enamel: 2 finish_coats over primer. If color change or sanding to bare metal warrants use of primer. Primer: Galvanized Metal Primer S-W: Pro Industrial Pro-Cryl Universal Primer, B66-1300 Series First and Second Coats: Water-based_Alkyd Urethane Enamel S-W: Pro Industrial Water-based Alkyd Urethane Semi-Gloss, B33-1150 Series _ D. Delivery and Storage Deliver materials to site in original, new and unopened packages and containers bearing manufacturer's_label with detailed information and specifications. E. Protection of Surfaces: Contractor will protect floors, furniture, and all other items from paint splatter or damage. G. Color schedule to be determined and included with corresponding responses to all Proposers on May 12, 2025. F._Do not paint over any code-required labels, such as Underwriters' Laboratories and Factory Mutual, or any equipment identification, performance rating, name, or nomenclature plates.
