Pleasant Plains Township is accepting bids for Cemetery Grounds Care and Sexton Services for the Pleasant Plains Township Cemetery located in Baldwin, MI for the 2025 Season (May 1 – October 31). Ground Care Services: • Mowing, trimming grass areas (approx. every 7-10 days or as needed) • Removal of grass clippings from headstones and monuments • Trimming around monuments, fences, and driveways • Spring and fall cleanup of leaves and debris • Contractor to provide all equipment and fuel • Proof of liability insurance required Sexton Duties: • Coordinate with funeral homes for grave openings and closings • Mark grave locations for burials and cremains • Maintain cemetery layout and burial records (map and logbook) • Ensure graves are properly closed and site is cleaned after services • Assist the township with location of graves upon request • Report any issues or damage on cemetery grounds to the township The Township Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the Township.
