Renovation of an educational facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a post-secondary education facility.
The project consists of but is not limited to: Remove and dispose of select exterior windows. Install new windows and repair/restore interior finishes and exterior masonry as required. Interior finishes include stone and wood sills, drywall, plaster and tile jambs. Exterior masonry includes brick and limestone masonry. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions.
