**As of July 7, 2025, the project was awarded to Peterson Contractors Inc., with an awarded amount of $999,197.41.** This project involves the replacement of the existing 10'x6'x25' reinforced box culvert with a new triple 12'x7'x90' reinforced concrete box culvert, including grading, paving, and extension of sanitary sewer from box culvert to W. 27th Street. Site Directions: Union Road just south of W. 27th Street Bidders shall provide a bid security in the amount defined in the Instructions to Bidders- Division 1 Section 05. A scanned copy of the Bid Bond must be included The work under the proposed contract shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed and shall be performed regularly and diligently throughout the duration of the project. All work shall be completed within 120 calendar days. Calendar days will be accumulated concurrently from the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed. The accumulation of calendar days may be suspended between November 15 and April 1, if approved by the City of Cedar Falls. Union Road must be fully open to traffic in all directions while calendar days are suspended. The successful Bidder shall furnish to the City a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing the completed project against defective workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from and after completion and acceptance by the City. The successful Bidder shall also provide a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing payment of all persons supplying labor and materials, or both, in the execution of the work provided for in the contract.
