Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The project consists of but is not limited to: This project will complete several exterior envelope repairs to the Rod Library. Work to done includes patching and repair of the existing roof membrane, replacement of insulated glass units at the south pavilion, wet sealing at the exterior curtainwall glazing, replacing sealant at exterior curtainwalls, cleaning building exterior, repairing brick and mortar at selected locations and repainting selected exposed structural steel. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
