**As of June 04, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The CSO-203 outfall pipe is a 10-foot diameter, 55+ year-old corrugated metal pipe that is likely to be in poor condition based on age and material type, and as evidenced by the fact that ODOT installed an internal structural liner in the pipe under Interstate 90 corridor about 4 years ago. The condition of the pipe is of further concern due to the difficulty of accessing the pipe for maintenance and inspection. Furthermore, the CSO-203 Relocation Project will facilitate future construction of the Cleveland Metroparks' multi-phase Cleveland Harbor Eastern Embayment Resilience Strategy (CHEERS) project in the location of the current CSO-203 pipe and outfall. The proposed alignment for the relocated CSO-203 outfall pipe will discharge to Lake Erie at the west end of the East 55th Marina adjacent to CSO-202. Approximately 1,000 linear feet (LF) of pipe will be replaced with a new, shallower pipe with improved accessibility for inspection and maintenance. An existing floatables netting facility for the CSO-202 outfall will be modified to also service the new CSO-203 outfall location.
