Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Base Bid consists of improvements to 36th Street (from Bergenline Avenue to John F. Kennedy Boulevard) and 37th Street (from Bergenline Avenue to John F. Kennedy Boulevard). Improvements include road reconstruction, HMA milling and paving, installation of scored concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, scored concrete driveways, shade trees, semi-circular 3' x 3' decorative paver tree wells, 3' x 3' square tree well with ADA-compliant tree grate, ADA-compliant curb ramps, lighting foundations, decorative lighted bollards and concrete pipe bollards, painting various existing features, traffic striping, installing new junction boxes, resetting existing junction box frames and covers, cellar door replacement, resetting and reconstruction of inlets and manholes and any other improvements shown within the Construction Plans. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the City of Union City, and must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of City of Union City for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required.
