Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kenhorst, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of June 10, 2025, the project was awarded to H&K Group Inc, with an awarded amount of $162,024.11.** The work will consist of mill, overlay, and base repair of the following roads within the Borough: Fern Avenue from New Holland Road to Daniels Avenue, Hoover Avenue from Fern Avenue to Division Street, Fern Avenue from McArthur to South Kenhorst Boulevard, Kenhorst Boulevard from Haig Boulevard to Bellefonte Avenue, and Kenhorst Boulevard from Quentin Avenue to Fayette Avenue. The project will also consist of curb replacement and Handicap (ADA) ramp design-build where directed by the Borough. OPTION 1 : Limits of work to be marked by municipality. Mill full width of road to a depth of 1.5". Repair base in any failure sections, with additional milling of 2" (3.5" total depth) and 2" base course of 19 mm 0-.3 million ESALs, PG-64-22, SRL-M. Overlay entire cartway with 1.5" 9.5mm Superpave WMA, 0-.3 million ESALs PG-64-22, SRL-M as per PennDOT Pub 408 Current Edition. Install Petromat Paving Fabric at large crack failure sections. Contractor responsible for supplying utility frames and installation as needed. Contractor shall remove all manhole inserts prior to installing utility frames and reinstall. Contractor is responsible for permanent pavement markings including stop blocks, crosswalks and centerlines. Demolish existing ramp and install Handicap Ramp (ADA) per PennDOT specifications and standards, includingcurb, sidewalk, DWS, and restoration of surrounding areas. Demolish existing failed curb and install 24" vertical curbing (match existing curbing widths and reveals). Streets may be closed to through traffic with appropriate signage and detours between 7 AM and 5 PM. Access to residential driveways is required. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Kenhorst Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The project will also consist of curb replacement and Handicap (ADA) ramp design-build where directed by the Borough. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $100,000. Only questions submitted online.
