Site work and paving for a road / highway in Kenhorst, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of miscellaneous base repair, geotextile fabric, milling and installation of Superpave Materials in the 1300 blocks of Kenhorst Boulevard and Liberty Avenue. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Borough of Kenhorst, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Borough. No bid may be withdrawn after the specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, except as specifically provided by law. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act applies if the total cost exceeds $100,000.00, and all contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall comply with Executive Order 11246, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity. All contractors must comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05 and must be pre-qualified by PennDOT for the type of project work specified. The Borough reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, and delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on remaining items or portions.
