The Virginia Department of Transportation herein referred to as "VDOT" is soliciting bids from interested firms to perform hourly unplanned/on-call tree pruning services within the Interstates and Limited Access highways along the highway rightsof-way within the counties of Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, Goochland, Powhatan and New Kent and Cities of Richmond and Colonial Heights. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: One year from date of award with four (4), one (1) year renewal options. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be submitted in writing to nasir.chhipa@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5 business days, prior to the closing date. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control (in accordance with the most recent version of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual) and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements of this specifications stated within. The work shall consist of hourly tree pruning (per the requirements of this IFB), brush removal, limited tree removal and tree hazard mitigation (per the requirement of this IFB) within the identified work locations, installation of applicable work zone Typical Traffic Control layouts and removal and disposal of all generated debris. The Contractor shall be capable of providing multiple crews (a maximum of three (3)) when requested by VDOT. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within ten (10) calendar days of award of this IFB.
